United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a dazzling crossroads where ancient desert traditions meet one of the world's most ambitious modern skylines. From the golden dunes of the Empty Quarter to the pearl-diving heritage of Abu Dhabi's islands, the UAE rewards travelers with extraordinary contrasts at every turn. World-class museums, souks fragrant with spices and oud, and some of the most inventive cuisine on the planet make it a destination that consistently surprises.

Good to know
The UAE is made up of seven emirates, each with its own character — don't limit yourself to Dubai alone, as Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Fujairah each offer distinct cultural and natural experiences. Dress modestly when visiting mosques, souks, and more traditional areas, and note that the local weekend runs Friday–Saturday rather than the Western Saturday–Sunday.
